Finally, I had a real experience of being a FOOT comm Logistic Officer.

Thursday was the start of preparation for FOOT log. I left halfway through lecture to move stores from NY house. There were Douglas, myself, KS, Huiming and Eliz to do the job. Thanks Hm and Eliz, a friend in need is a friend indeed!

I duno why but the staff both at SRC and NY hse seem kinda grouchy=( I'm so bad with words. I get caught speechless everytime the staff at NY house shoot us with questions.

After an hour of hardwork, we finally got everything down from NY house!

After that we went shopping at Sheng Siong after meeting up with the marinate food party. Shopping was fun of course. Thereafter, we headed to Liping hall to prepare the food.

Friday was hectic. But we managed fine.

The BBQ started and ended. Everything happened pretty fast. I was either doing Log, skewering chicken wings or hanging around with the FOOT commers. Being a Log it was a pretty good excuse to be in the background. I was quite surprised by the creativity in dressing of those who turned up. Most adhered to the Mismatch theme. I believe it had been an enjoyable night for everyone.

The BBQ ended with an O-teck cheer led by JJ and Mel. By then everyone was quite high so different groups sprung up to do their cheers. Someone jioed for an 08 cheer, I heard someone nearby said, "Aiya, history already, what 08". But we like leh! A bond doesn't end together with a work year, it follows for life!

FOOT comm celebrated the Bdays of the Oct babies, including myself. Actually I had kinda guessed that they were doing something. Haha, I ish observant 1 leh! But I was suprised with the magnitude of celebration. Lol. Thankew guys for putting in so much effort. It must have been difficult, especially for Michelle, the welfare.

Someone dared JJ to run around the track with the cake in his hands. Lol. We formed a choo choo train and ran on the track with JJ with the cake in the lead singing "We got the O-teck spirit, WHERE?! Up in my head...." Wah damn damn damn high! Ran until we were breathless so we broke up to take pictures. JJ jumped and dropped the cake! It began a round of cake smashing! Running around the track in the middle of the night throwing cake at one another. The 3 Loggies were so unsporting. We had to ambush them when we went back to the BBQ area.

To be honest, JJ dropped the cake only because I accidentally elbowed him. Haha, pls dun kill me!

We went back SRC and found the Log guys who escaped the cake smashing clearing up whatever that was left. I feel so proud being part of FOOT log because while the rest of us were playing with cake and washing up, they were already clearing up. Actually it was the people from other comms who had helped to clear up most of the rubbish while we were having our fun. KS was saying that he felt bad that the other comms had to help us clear up. It was actually our responsibility. One of the Progs said, "This is called ODAC family spirit". I was stunned for a moment. Hmmm, but touched by the presence of what we always call, ODAC family spirit.

We resume our chores and had an informal meeting/debrief for the BBQ. I think all of us brought back lessons learnt from this BBQ. Mel and JJ trusted us a lot. Giving us the chance to free play. I supposed it has allowed us to learn more on our own. We did have a fair share of small hicups and mistakes made, but more importantly is that we recognise them and learn from them.

We spent the rest of the night hanging around the SRC carpark. Super unglam. We lie down on the carpark, took photos, talk about random stuff and had supper. Poor Douglas had to send us home @ 3am in the morning.

I went back home and showered. My noise woke the sister up. "Hello, you are back. Happy Bday. Good night." My mum left a vase of flowers beside my bed. There were no vases at home so she used my dad's throphy as a vase. I was too tired to admire e flowers. Immediately I headed to lalaland and woke up only 13 hours later to my horror.

I had wanted to suggest staying at home to rush project but my Mum made sure I had a life. Lol, so we went Sushi Tei @ Vivo for dinner. Dinner was great! The food was superb. I had prob put on a few more kilos.

Hmmm, letmme sum up my Bday.

1. Being in a meeting when the clock struck 12. Lol. Had the whole comm singing a Bday song to me in the middle of a meeting. So special.

2. Lying on the road in the wee hours of the morning with traces of choc cake and BBQed food all over my body wondering what the hell am I doing here on my Bday...

3. Busy with the ODAC BBQ, projects and assignments. Totally no time to catch my breathe.

4. Running around the track, throwing cake at one another.

5. Sleeping for 13 freaking hours on my bday.

6. Had dinner with my family of 5. Like an almost impossible affair.

It has been another memorable Bday because it has been a very abnormal one. Haha. Many thanks to FOOT 09 for the gift and cake! Love you guys!
