I turned Kat down eventually, even though I've previously given her my word. I came to realize that not everything can be easily substituted. I'm after all, inept to changes.

I'm thankful that she is so generous to not blame me. I truely hope she can find someone who is more able to lend her a helping hand.

I'm here because I'm trying to compartmentalize. I know that it is supposed to take place in the mind but it is so difficult to put things aside. I'm hoping that putting thoughts in words will help.

I think that the word politics is being overused. To date I feel that it's definition is somewhat blury. Many times it leads to misconceptions because I hear people using the term politics to describe personal arguments or disagreements. What exactly is Politics?

Quoted from the dictionary:
Politics - Social relations involving intrigue to gain authority or power

To make sure I didn't get it wrong.

Quoted from wikipedia:
Politics consists of "social relations involving authority or power"[1] and refers to the regulation of a political unit, [2] and to the methods and tactics used to formulate and apply policy.[3]

Another thing on my mind is bitching. I frequently ask myself how much I bitch about people. I can't consider bitching as in really bitching because again, bitching is a rather inappropriate word. It is definitely unethical to criticize, badmouth or spread rumours behind somebody's back. Ah, those 3 verbs sound like a better definition of bitching. It is human nature to talk about people. But I can't call it bitching as long everything presented are hard facts. Of course if one takes it too personally then it is their own problem. At times I feel that it is good to know of the impression you give to others. It provides an opportunity for self reflection. Not a bad thing... What do you think?

I can't understand why I hear statements along the lines of "FOOT comm a lot politics one lor..." I say that the pot is calling the kettle black.

I thought for a very long time about politics, about family. With regards to FOOT, I only remember the good, not the bad. Because we started good and ended good. Whatever happened in between, is no longer important for we have come to an end.

After our personal issues, I did consider the quality of family spirit within FOOT comm. I must say that the family spirit only gets stronger each day. Look @ Sem 1 FOOT. Now, compare it with today’s FOOT. The difference is immeasurable. Even if our disputes or disagreements are unresolved, we do not get to extreme levels. Nor do we intentionally create tension out of thin air. Human emotions are after all hard to control. We may lose it, but we eventually get back to where we started.

Honestly, I mind a lot the way people look @ FOOT because all along I thought that we were creating a positive image and I was very proud of it. I have no idea since when we began to portray something negative. If anyone came to tell me how much they admire the FOOT spirit I would be very happy because I thought that this was what we wanted to show. And I thought this was the whole objective of FOOT.

I remember very vividly the family spirit that my GLs taught us. They do not ostracize anyone no matter how much they dislike the person. Every member is welcomed. Every member is part of family.

We had our fair share of arguments during FOOT. But I believe that it is unavoidable because we’re here running an event. Opinions differ but like what CK says, the intention is never bad.

At the end of the day, Mike and Yong Han are correct. If you believe that you’ve done your part, it is more than sufficient. Anything else, it is not up to us to control.

Family is family because we've been through thick and thin together; lent support to one another. Even the minor things count. This is probably something we can't blame many for not appreciating because not everybody had been through what we underwent.

It is just sadening to see some things get lost and may be lost for good. Nevertheless, through and through, I've been enlightened and will stop sinking in any deeper. Finally I've learnt to put aside all discontentment and reorganized all thoughts. Not too late I hope=)

I know, you know, we all know. Good enough!

We ended the way we started. No matter whatever differences we had, as long the heart feels for FOOT comm, the family is whole.

No one can deny us, the 8thfootcomm.
