Friday we finally had our FOOT comm durian session!

The few of us met in school. Some met for jogging, some met for swimming. I'm the only slacker who went to sleep @ the poolside. Haha..

After that QY drove LP and me to Geylang while Douglas sent the Andas gang home before coming to meet us. Its damn difficult to get a parking slot in Geylang.

LP, QY and me, and JJ settled down @ a dim sum stall for food. Was super hungary so we ordered a lot! The food however is not up to standard at all when compared to the dimsum prepared by JJ's father.

We spend a lot of time chatting before Douglas finally found us. Later in the night, Ee Ching, Mike and Wei Ling arrived and we celebrated Ee Ching's Bday! Its 1 week belated but the Bday wishes to you are sincere!!

So again, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY EECHING!! Hope you find your Mr Right in Korea!

Next station was the much awaited durian! Actually I came without the intention to eat durian cos I was afraid of falling sick again. But it was far too irresistable! And I'm still healthy and energetic now. Hehehe... QY and me received a missed call from Jasmine. It turned out that she drove past us while we were having durian.

Take care leh dear ex roomie... I hope I wasn't the one who passed the cough to you=(

The durian was fantastic! We didn't eat much. Spent more time chit chatting. Ee Ching will be leaving for Korea in a week. So we thought of holding a farewell makan session for her. Coincidentally we have some cash set aside for food so we came to the conclusion of having dinner @ Kuishin bowl next week!!! Yeah! More makan sessions, I like!!

The day ended with Douglas driving Wei Ling and me home, QY and Mike driving the westerners. By the time I got home, it was already 3am!

Yesterday when chatting, QY said something which set me thinking. Something about people tending to wear tinted glasses. We shouldn't have a fixed set of thinking. Should see things in a different perspective. For instance, when we said that the durian session was better than the huan dao chi because this time round we had cars. But in fact it is a wrong perception. After that I thought about our parking problems, the petrol costs and realized that what he said was quite true.

After that I applied the theory to other issues and indeed, what QY said was quite true. Thanks QY, you taught me one new thing! Haha

After that I checked my email for a reply from the Econs division. The story goes like that. The division decided to shift my tutorial to another slot as according to them the class has too many people. So I wrote a complain letter to the division and they gave me back my orginal slot.

The 2nd thing I learnt for the day, "You'll be bullied unless you stand firm!" Of course when I'm doing sales I dislike these kinda customers. But the more demanding or unreasonable the customer is, the more likely it is for him to get his way.

Moving on to today.

I woke up in the late afternoon and the mother was already preparing dinner. It took myself another hour to remember that my relatives were coming over for dinner. So I didn't manage to get the tutorials done=( Will make up for it tml ba.

My mum booked the KaraOkae room for the family gathering so we brought all the food down. It was a sumptious dinner! My mum and relatives are all fantastic cooks apart from being overly health conscious. For instance, soup without salt, barley without sugar, dumplings made of carrots and ginger etc.

My 4 year old cousin passed me a rambutan. I began to examine it, knocking it with my fingers. She looked @ me curiously. Then she spoke up and taught me something new called "How to open a rambutan". She went on, "Go on, you can do it!". It opened. "Yay, you did it!" Omg, so malu!

After watching the NDP on channel 5, the mother entertained the relatives with her singing. Even my Aunt's maid was laughing secretly at a corner. I whine to the Aunts (behind the mother's back) that we have to hear it every morning. And they told me to be happy that she has improved a lot from the past. Haha... Everytime the mother starts singing, I duno whether to laugh or cry...

I was chatting with Bee and we talked about possible plans for the coming year. She offered me an opportunity to join her in doing something different. But I'm undecided. 4 years as my captain, she has taught me a hell lot of stuff. Should I take the easy way out, or go ahead to do something that I like?

Hmmm....

Shall get some sleep before doing the thinking.

Dim Sum tml @ JJ's parents' stall and Go Kart @ JB on Monday. Sounds exciting rite!
