I'm glad the weekends are finally over. I dun and have never liked weekends.

The atmosphere in outlet today was kinda weird. It was awkard being the in-between. Even the customer noticed.

Customer: (looking at our faces, from one to the other) Eh.... You all very sianzed ah?
Me: hah?
Jiabao: O_O ??
Ali: No lah.

Customer: Then why you all look so sianz?

The customer took one last look and left. Coincidentally, the lightnings in the outlet happened to complement the atmosphere. Well, it might be the other way round either. Our outlet have special lightnings which suffer from frequent pms. Outsiders might think our outlet contain dark forces.

After work, we split ways and I took 965 as usual, with the company of Jiabao.

As the bus neared Sengkang CC, I caught sight of blinking lights behind the CC. For the past week, I've been seeing the same colourful lights. Stupidly, I thought the CC decided to beautify it's buildings with some lightning. (They ought to do so judging from the daily crowd at the CC) Out of the blue, I decided to check out the buildings. To my amazement, this was what I saw.

I take 965 home everyday. I live in Sengkang's so called central and I'm home 7 days a week. Its a failure on my part to not realise something has been going on in Sengkang probably for the past week.

I think I need to learn to be more observant of my surroundings.

Anyway, back to the fun fair. From far, it looked pretty impressive. You seldom see such big feris wheels at neighbourhood fun fairs. Theres even Vertico, or wadeva u call it. So I thought it must be quite a crowd especially on a weekend. I received another surprise.

Bo lang eh... This is a reason why you should never set up business in Sengkang neighbourhood. They put the people out of job.

I walked in further to check why the hell is this fair so damn quiet lah. The prices were reasonably cheap. There wasn't any entrance fee. The weather was great. The rides were good. I can't find any reason for the bad response. Maybe Sengkang people are just like me. Boring.

I have never in my entire life seen such a lifeless fun fair. Even the people on Vertico kept absolutely quiet when they were being swung up and down repeatedly. It made me wonder if the people up there are indeed people.

I just felt that the feris wheel was coolz.

But I don't think I'll ever dare to sit on this. Especially so after watching The Park.

Fun fairs are already a thing of the past. It has been two years since I first and last stepped in Escape. Seven years since I last visited a neighbourhood fun fair. Another 10 over years since I sat on a ride at the Genting ammusement park.

I think I've outgrown childhood. Parks and fairs no longer entice me, very much unlike the past. And for outbreaking childhood, my feelings are very much... ambivalent.
